The Western team rides at a private barn in Findlay, Ohio, which is run and owned by  Katie Morehead. Katie Morehead is a graduate from The University of Findlay with a masters degree in education. Katie grew up competing on the AQHA circuit in the all around events. Claiming titles such as Reserve Congress Champion, OQHA Youth All Around, and Regional Champion. While in college, she competed on the National Champion IHSA Team. During that time she won 3 IHSA National Championships, Including the AQHA High Point Rider in the Nation. Katie was awarded U of Fs Female Athlete of the Year for the 2009 season. Upon graduation Katie started her own business KM Performance Horses. She coaches a high school and middle school IEA team as well as BGSU Western Equestrian Team. She has coached riders to over 40+ National Titles and captured 4 Team National Championships in the last five years.



The English team rides at Flying Change Farm in Toledo, Ohio under Amy Scheick Gasaway. Amy Scheick Gasaway is the barn manager and lead trainer at Flying Change Farm.  She has over 25 years of riding experience with equestrian riding and has been training professionally for eight years.  She has great passion for the sport and extraordinary devotion to improving the life of horses and the children who ride them.

Amy started riding when she was seven years old and has continued ever since.  She has been affiliated with several barns, exchanging lessons for chores to gain opportunities to work closely with horses.  Over the years, Amy has been the lead trainer at several facilities while developing great relationships with customers.

In 2006, Amy’s family invested in a 32-acre piece of land and developed what is now Flying Change Farm.  Combining previous experiences at other stables, they created a facility providing high-quality, personalized care and training that encourages all levels of riders to enjoy their passion.
